omnivis is a small, independent field-guide magazine. We publish short, specific reads across four sections: travel, cars, legal background, and education. The idea behind the site is simple — most topics get explained either in enormous generic guides or in quick social posts that fall apart the moment you test them. We try to sit in the useful middle: pieces long enough to be accurate and short enough to finish with a coffee.

How we cover topics

Every article on omnivis follows the same working rules. We open with something concrete — a number, a scene, a comparison — because "what is X" openings rarely help anyone. We prefer claims that can be checked against public information, and we hedge honestly when numbers vary: words like "typically," "roughly," and "in most cases" appear in our writing on purpose. Where a topic involves risk or a trade-off, we say so plainly instead of pretending a clean answer exists.

What we do not do

We do not publish professional advice. Our legal section explains how processes and records work in general terms; it is not a substitute for a licensed attorney. Our auto section explains maintenance concepts and market behavior; it is not a substitute for a qualified mechanic. We do not accept payment for coverage of specific products, and we do not republish press releases as articles.

Editorial standards

Articles are reviewed for factual hedging, sourcing discipline, and clarity before publication. When we make a correction, we make it quietly and quickly — most fixes are spelling, dates, or rephrasing for accuracy. We do not use fabricated statistics, invented expert quotes, or unnamed "studies" without a verifiable source.
